Design services

Your design may be little more than a sketch on the back of an envelope at this stage, but we can work with you to produce manufacturing design drawings ready for cutting.  Our early involvement in a CNC cutting project gives you a competitive advantage as this enables us to tailor our service to meet the demands of both your brief and your budget.  Not only that, with us on board from the beginning we can build a much better understanding of the product or cut you want to achieve.  We can quickly look at the best value and commercial approach to a project once we know its intended use, and of course we are happy to enter into non-disclosure agreements to ensure your development plans are kept confidential.  We are proactive, so when appropriate, if we think there is a better way of achieving your desired end result, we will work together with you.  It may be that there is an alternative material that you could use that would be better for your purpose or saves on costs while still achieving the same end quality.

For example, one company recently asked us to cut fretwork panels from MDF and then spray paint them black.  We suggested using black MDF, then spraying with clear lacquer.  This led to significant savings of about 15% of the total price.  In addition, the resulting panels looked better, as the black MDF is black all the way through.
