Trade CNC Ltd started as a family business in 2008, when Paul Dodd took his years of experience in design development and manufacturing, bought a CNC router and created his own company.
Paul identified a need for intelligent, high quality CNC services. Now based in Hartford, Cheshire, Trade CNC has grown over the years into the progressive and service-oriented CNC routing business that it is recognised as today. We cut high volume items from design drawings with efficiency and accuracy, and our design capabilities and manufacturing knowledge set us apart from the rest. Where appropriate, we will review your design drawings and suggest alternative materials or manufacturing methods to value engineer your solution, saving you time and money.
We know that the quality of our work relies upon the skill and dedication of our team. So we have invested heavily in both technology and our people – who we consider to be our greatest asset – to ensure that the service you require is delivered and your expectations exceeded. As an independent company, still owned and operated by its founding Directors, our passion for what we do has never waned. Today we have a host of satisfied customers who return to us again and again. Paul still oversees all the commercial aspects of the business, from design to manufacture. The business has grown and we now have teams of designers, manufacturing, QC, logistics, admin and marketing staff.

We continue to invest in new machines and software to increase capacity and efficiency and widen the range of services we provide. Starting from our design service utilizing Solidworks, we offer services from CNC routing and cutting, laser cutting, edgebanding; to spraying and finishing, assembly and packaging. We cater for all areas of industry and production: from producing complicated prototypes to managing large production runs, we can help.

From design to delivery
Starting from your conceptual images right to delivery of your finished product, we’ve got you covered.
A key feature of our service here at Trade CNC is that we are with you for every step of the journey. Starting from your conceptual designs, we will take the time to get to know you and your product so that we can develop CAD drawings. We apply our years of manufacturing experience to develop a manufacturing design that is fit for purpose and within budget. Once you have approved your drawings, we use our CNC software to nest the products for most efficient use of material and estimate machining time. This information means we can provide a realistic quote for manufacturing, whether it is for a single prototype or a large-scale volume production run.
We have invested in production planning software and barcoding technology to ensure your job runs smoothly. Our experienced operators will cut your items and finish with edgebanding, sanding and spraying as required. We quality check each individual component, then assemble if required. Finally, your items are carefully packaged to avoid any damage during transit, and despatched by next-day delivery service via courier or palletised delivery service as appropriate.

We can cut almost any shape out of timber, plastic or composite materials. From fretwork panels and kitchen units to MDF formers or bespoke plastic spacers, our experienced team can handle anything!
Edgebanding
Add a professional finish to your items with matching or contrasting edging. .
Spraying & finishing
We can sand and fill timber products and spray with clear lacquer or primer, finishing with a top coat in selected finishes if required.
Laser cutting
For finely detailed work or items with sharp internal corners, we can provide a laser cutting services for a range of materials..
